STARTING LEVEL: 6 new growth roots Crown area midshaft till ends starting level 9 pre lighten Money peace and underneath starting level 5CM colored hair
STEP 2: Starting in back left quadrant take 1” horizontal subsections using large weaves, backcomb from mid lengths to root, place foil and apply formula one staying 1-2” away from scalp. Continue up the quadrant and repeat on other side. Before moving onto sides finely weave 1 foil at the front hairline of horseshoe section applying formula one and feathering 1/8” away from scalp.
STEP 3: Apply Formula 2 to roots all over for a root smudge look. Gently comb hair color to soften the blend.
STEP 4: For front left and right quadrants begin taking ½” horizontal subsections, continuing with the weave foiling technique (lowlights) apply formula 3 blending into formula 2 root color until meeting the middle parting. Moving into the crown section breaks in half for manageability and continue technique. Process 30 minutes room temperature. Rinse until water runs clear and shampoo using Royal treatment Clarifying Shampoo.
STEP 5a: Separate the crown area section again as before, for bottom section (underneath) apply formula 4 from roots to ends.
SECTIONING Sectioning ear to ear create triangles from high point of head between temples. Section the sides from the highest point of the head to the tip of the ear.
STEP 1: Starting in the crown section establish your guide, take a vertical section from the center and hold at 180 degrees from head hold fingers at a deep angle pointing toward the crown and cut. Continue with the same cutting position throughout the back of the head using your last section as your guide. Taking a horizontal section from the center of crown at 180 degrees point cut across. Continue taking horizontal sections from back of the head and meeting guide at 180 degrees point cut for soft long layers
STEP 2: With client looking down slightly take piece from center of fringe triangle, starting from the tip of nose slide cut down and establish your guide. Take entire triangle parting and overdirect to the crown area, using your guide slide cut back while gradually pulling section backwards as you slide cut.
STEP 3: Taking 1” section along the hairline, using previously cut sections natural fall as your guide, slide cut down and create soft face framing. Using the face framing as your stationary guide on either side, continue taking 1” vertical sections over directing to face framing guide point cut until both sides are complete. Continue to blend by turning front sections outward and cutting above fingers.
STEP 4: Splitting back of head in half vertically begin pulling sections to the front and slide cutting to blend the perimeters. Finally with guest standing up comb back of hair to 0 elevation and cut final perimeter shape. Point cut and texturize as needed to create soft blended layers. Style as desired.

Section hair into 5 partings. Create V sectioning in crown, Section fringe in a big triangle from highest point of the head between temples. Section the sides from the highest point of the head to tip of the ear.
STEP 1: Lightly mist hair using Royal Treatment Bond & Seal to even the porosity of the hair for optimal results.
STEP 2: Begin behind head by placing 3 back-to-back slices in diagonal back placement following hairline excluding the middle section of hairline. Place foils and apply formula 1. In center back of head alternate weaves and slices in 1” subsections teasing from mid lengths up to scalp place foil, apply formula 1 working up the center back of the head. On either side of center foils repeat the same technique following the diagonal back pattern until reaching V parting in crown.
STEP 3: Working in V section, foil the hair in a herringbone pattern, alternate from left and right side taking 1” diagonal back subsections. Weave the hair and tease from mid lengths to root, place foil and feather formula 1 up to root leaving ½” from scalp. Finish with 2 horizontal foils at peak of triangle in diamond parting.
STEP 4: Beginning with hairline in fringe triangle section. Place 2 back-to-back foils to create a brighter piece. weave 1/2 “sections teasing from mid lengths to root. Place foil, apply formula 1 feather up leaving ¼” away from scalp. Continue weaving and teasing technique through the rest of this section in 1” subsections leaving ½” away from scalp. Moving to the sides of the head, taking 1” subsections place two diagonal back foils using the weave and tease technique following the hairline. Above the ear you will continue with the same technique in horizontal sections working your way up.
STEP 5: Apply formula 2 to the 7G ends out of the foils. Process 30 minutes at room temperature (removing foils as they reach desired level.) Rinse with warm water the formula 2 first then remove foils and rinse until it runs clear, then shampoo once using Royal Treatment Clarifying Shampoo and Treatment.
Section hair into 4 partings. Separating front of hair from the back with ear-to-ear parting. Separate fringe triangles from the highest point of the head between temples. Section the sides from the highest point of the head to the tip of the ear.
STEP 1: Starting in the back separate entire section in half horizontally. With clients looking down, comb hair to 0 elevation, cut the perimeter at slight downward angle using the shape of the neck to create a natural rounded shape. Take a 1” horizontal section from top section. Taking vertical section from center, resting knuckles on the base of neck cut at a 45-degree angle to create your travelling guide. Bringing down the rest of the back section of hair continue using the guide created resting knuckles on neck and cutting at 45 degrees.
STEP 2: Moving to the front sections comb hair down to natural fall, taking perimeter from back as guide carve perimeter at a deep angle leaving length towards the front.
STEP 3: Comb fringe sectioning down in front of face. Create guide by taking center piece at slight elevation and begin slide cutting from bridge of nose down. Taking remaining hair from either side overdirect towards the opposite side of the nose slide cutting down at an angle and repeating on other side to establish fringe and facial framing point cutting to soften as needed.
STEP 4a: Establish your guide for the layers by taking entire crown section straight up at 90 degrees and point cutting length.
STEP 4b: Over direct entire front half of hair towards the face. Starting with the middle parting take a vertical section overdirect in front of face and remove length. Repeat either side of the middle parting above parietal ridge. Moving to the sides separate 1” of hairline to maintain length. Cut vertical layers using the top section as guide. Style as desired.

STEP 2: Starting at the back hair line in left quadrant take 1” horizontal subsections weave hair picking out darker pieces, place foil and apply formula 1 feathering up leaving ½” away from scalp. continue up the quadrant until meeting ear to ear parting. Repeat in right quadrant.
STEP 3: Starting above the ear taking horizontal slices in 1” subsections finely weave the hair place foil and apply formula 1 meeting at the center part line at top of head. In small triangle take ½” subsections finely weave the hair place foil and apply formula 1feathering up leaving ½” away from scalp. Process until the desired level is reached. Shampoo once using Royal Treatment Color Gloss Blonde Enhancing Shampoo.
STEP 4: In front sections above the ear below parietal ridge using only 3 foils from each side take 1” subsections in slices apply formula 2 in foils.

STEP 1: Lightly mist hair using Royal Treatment Bond & Seal to even the porosity of the hair for even results.
STEP 2: Apply formula 1 1/8” away from scalp starting in front right quadrant fully saturating from root to ends, repeat this step until all quadrants are fully saturated. After completing go back and apply formula to roots.
STEP 3: Section hair to isolate the front left quadrant and top of head above parietal ridge. Starting at hairline on left quadrant, taking 1” subsections foil two diagonal back slices using formula 2 feathering up staying ½” away from root. Once completed begin taking 1” horizontal subsections above the ear weave the hair and place foils with formula 2. Continue to step 4.
STEP 4: Starting with the front hairline take 1” horizontal sections across the top of the head, weave hair, place foil and apply formula 2 feathering bleach up staying ½” away from scalp. Continue until you reach the crown of the head parting.
STEP 5: Apply formula 3 saturating roots, and all hair left out of foils. Process at room temperature for 30 minutes.
STEP 6: Rinse hair well until water runs clear, before removing foils. Shampoo all hair once using Royal treatment Color Gloss Shampoo. Blow-dry the hair in preparation for step 7.
STEP 7: Apply Toner formula 4 from roots to ends generously saturating the highlighted sections. Process 20 minutes at room temperature.
Amethyst Cut
SECTIONING – Ear to Ear
STEP 1: Comb all hair down following it’s natural fall. With clients looking down, comb hair to 0 elevation. Take feather razor at the occipital bone and gently glide down, using the shape of the head to create a natural contour, leaving some length in the ends for a feathered perimeter.
STEP 2: While client is looking down separate 1” vertical section below occipital bone pulls hair 90 degrees from head angling fingers towards the head slide cut below the fingers to create your travelling guide. Continue taking 1” vertical sections across both sides until all the hair has been cut.
STEP 3: Separate front hairline to maintain some length. Take whole section in front left quadrant, pulling hair from back quadrant as your guide, slide cut for a soft perimeter. Once complete, begin taking 1” vertical sections starting above the ear. Hold hair 45 degrees from head, slide down towards perimeter to create soft layers. Repeat on both sides of the head, texturizing as needed. Move onto step 4.
STEP 4a: Create V parting at the crown of the head, pull the entire section up at 90 degrees and point cut across. Next, Comb entire top section of head forward and take 1” section down center part line. Using texturizing shears on ends to remove weight.
STEP 4b: Continue taking 1” sections from center part line and repeat until parietal ridge. On the sides, take vertical 1” sections and continue the same technique to remove weight from ends. Style as desired.
CREATE 5 SECTIONS: A triangle fringe, a triangular crown section with a V-parting below it (parietal to occipital), and triangular sections behind each parietal ridge extending to the apex.
STEP 1: Starting in the back V-section, take ¼-inch diagonal back slices. Backcomb from the center and apply Formula 1. Repeat on both sides of the V.
STEP 2: Continue up the section, alternating between weaving and slicing along the V-parting. Mist with Royal Treatment Bond & Seal as you work.
STEP 3: Move to the crown triangle. Take ½-inch horizontal subsections. Backcomb, weave, and apply Formula 2.
Color Design
STEP 4: For the fringe, take 3 back-to-back 1/8-inch horizontal slices.
STEP 5: After the initial slices, switch to medium weaves with larger subsections. Backcomb every section.
STEP 6: Apply Formula 3 to the roots outside your foiled sections.
STEP 7: Apply Formula 4 to the mids & ends of the remaining hair on the sides (hair not in foils), melting it into the root color.
STEP 8: Apply Formula 3 to all hair remaining between foils.
PROCESS: 30 minutes.
FINISH: Rince with lukewarm water (3-5 minutes).
TONE: Rough dry the hair. Apply Formula 5 to the blonde sections.
STEP 4: Taking horizontal ¼ of an inch subsections apply in this sequence, Formula 8, Formula 4, Formula 5, Formula 3, Formula 7, taking medium weaves. Follow the same sequence for the back and sides.
STEP 5: For the fringe, leave 1/8th of an inch of blonde out. After, start taking ¼ of an inch horizontal weaves, following this sequence: Formula 8, Formula 3, Formula 7, Formula 4.
STEP 6: Apply Formula 8 to the roots melting it to the exposed ends.
PROCESS: 20 minutes.
THE HAIRCUT
STEP 1: Clip section from behind the ear on both sides. STEP 2: Create a diamond parting on the crown and clip away. STEP 3: Comb diamond parting straight up to 180 degrees, twist the hair twice, cut in an upward angle with texturizing shears, backcombing towards the root. STEP 4: With the head tilted forward, take pinch partings at a 45-degree elevation and texturize the hair above the hand. Do this in the nape area. STEP 5: Take fringe section from the apex to the temples, leave out shorter pieces in the front. STEP 6: Comb to 180 degrees, twist twice, backcomb and slide cut with texturizing shears. STEP 7: For the fringe that was left out, overdirect back, open and close texturizing shears. STEP 8: To finish, take pinch partings all around, elevate to 90 degrees and texturize above the hand to remove bulk.
PREP AND SECTIONING Section the front down the middle. In the back, create a V-shaped parting.
STEP 1: Prep for Wet Balayage Generously mist the hair with Royal Treatment Bond & Seal. The hair should be damp to facilitate a smooth wet balayage application.
STEP 2: Set the Perimeter Starting in the back left along the V-parting, take two sections along the hairline. Freehand paint using Formula 1, feathering the application starting ½ an inch away from the scalp.
STEP 3: Back Application Continue following the V-parting using diagonal back subsections. Tease selected sections before painting to ensure a seamless blend.
STEP 4: Front Application Move to the front. Take horizontal sections that follow the natural round of the head. Alternate between weaving and freehand painting.
STEP 5: Global Color Apply Formula 2 from roots to ends over the entire head.
PROCESS: Until the desired level is achieved (max 45 minutes).
STEP 1: Perimeter and Sides Take a section following the round of the head from behind the ear. Overdirect this section entirely to the opposite side and straight cut. Repeat this step for the other side.
STEP 2: Connecting the Back Part the back down the middle. Take a triangle section, overdirect it to the front, and straight cut to connect the lengths.
STEP 3: Fringe Create a U-shaped parting for the fringe. Twist the hair, elevate to 180 degrees, and point cut to soften the edges.
Formula 5 (Violet): 1oz CHI Ionic Permanent 6V + 4g Violet Additive + 1oz 20 Volume Developer
Color Technique (Pre-Lightening)
STEP 1: Prep and Sectioning Part hair down the middle and section into three parts (leaving one out). Mist hair with Royal Treatment Bond & Seal.
STEP 2: Virgin Application (Mids) Starting in the back left, take 1-inch subsections. Apply Formula 1 generously to the mid-shafts and ends, avoiding the roots.
STEP 3: Once mids and ends are fully saturated, apply Formula 1 1/2 inch away from roots at the fringe area, using free hand painting technique.
STEP 4: Base Application Create a U-shaped section from temples to occipital. Clip the top away. Apply Formula 2 from roots to ends on the hair underneath. Isolate with foils.
STEP 5: Top Section Mids Release the top section. Avoiding the money piece, apply Formula 3 starting one inch down from the base.
STEP 6: Ends and Detail Taking diagonal back subsections, apply to the lengths alternating between Formula 4 and Formula 5. Use Formula 4 specifically for the money piece.
STEP 1: Fringe Sectioning Section the fringe from the round of the head to the corner of the brow. Clip away the sides behind the ears. STEP 2: Crown Prep Create and clip a triangle section at the crown. STEP 3: Crown Texture Elevate the crown section to 180 degrees. Twist and scissor cut using a backcombing motion. Step 1: Mist the hair with CHI Bond & Seal.

Step 4: Bang area will be ½” slices back-to-back foils with Formula 1.

Long Layers (360 Haircut)
Step 1: Section the top of the head into two quadrants, leaving out the bangs.
Step 2: Create a v-section at the crown area.
Step 3: Set a guideline at the crown.
Step 4: Trim the middle section up to the guideline, employing point cutting at the tips.
Step 5: Perform point cutting on the left side, then the right side.
Step 6: Bring the hair forward and point cut.
Step 7: Finally, take the guide section to the back and point cut.
Bottom Section
Step 8: Take a ½” section from the bottom section near the ear to the guideline and point cut.
Step 9: Proceed to the back section, lifting it 90 degrees and point cutting using the crown guideline.
Curtain Bangs
Step 10: If needed, apply CHI Bond & Seal to add moisture to the hair.
Step 11: Section a small v-shape into the bangs.
Step 12: Twist the v-shape 360 degrees and point cut.
Step 13: Use the left section as a guide, pulling it over to the right section of the bang and point cut.
Step 14: Cut from the inside to the outside to ensure balanced length on each side of the bangs.
Step 15: Create a middle part and slide cut each section to soften the ends of the hair.
Step 16: Lift a 1” section 90 degrees and point cut to add volume to the bangs. Repeat the process on the left and right sides of the bangs.
Step 17: Return to the starting guideline and take a slice from the top right and left sections, cutting at a 90-degree angle with the guideline.
Step 18: Bring a slice from the crown to the bang area, cutting at a 90-degree angle with a point cut.
Step 19: Take ½ slices from the left and right sections, bringing them to the middle guideline at a 180- degree angle and point cut.
Step 20: Adjust the guideline to 90 degrees and use the shears to slide along the end for a seamless cut.
Step 21: Re-check each section back to the guideline and perform a double check cut.
