Get the Look:

Formula One: 2 oz. CHI Chromashine Pearl White + 1 drop CHI Chromashine Dangerously Red.

Formula Two: 2 oz. CHI Chromashine Pearl White + 2 drops CHI Chromashine Mellow My Yellow

Formula Three: 1 oz. CHI Shine Shades Liquid Color 6C + ½ oz. CHI Shine Shades 7CG + 10 Volume CHI Color Generator.

Formula Four: 1 oz. CHI Shine Shades 8C + ½ oz. CHI Shine Shades 9CG + 10 Volume CHI Color Generator.

 

Step One: Starting in the temple area apply formula one in a diagonal back section and protect with foil. Repeat in the next subsection using formula two. Continue alternating through section.

Step Two: In the middle section apply Formula Three from roots to ends using a foil to protect the hair from the previous section.

Step Three: Release final section and apply Formula Four from roots to ends.

Step Four: Process at room temperature for 30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly, shampoo using CHI Infra Shampoo, rinse, and apply CHI Color Lock Treatment for 5 minutes and rinse.

Sectioning: Create twists throughout the head leaving out the ends of the hair.

 

Step One: With your hands isolate one section and sponge in formula one using a sponge.

Step Two: Continue until entire head is complete. Apply as much or as little color as desired.

Step Three: Process at room temperature for 30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly, shampoo using CHI Infra Shampoo, rinse, and apply CHI Color Lock Treatment for 5 minutes and rinse.

Formula Three: 2 oz. CHI Chromashine Pearl White + 1 Drop CHI Chromashine Dangerously Red.

 

Step One: Starting in the nape weave sections, using your CHI Dryer start at the ends slowly move the dryer towards the scalp, creating a back comb effect. Apply formula one to the new growth and feather down. Alternate formulas one and two up to occipital bone.

Step Two: Apply either formula one or two with same technique and then melt formula three from mid-shaft to ends up to parietal ridge.

Step Three: In the crown and apex continue technique from step one until entire head is complete.

Step Four: Process at room temperature for 30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly, shampoo using CHI Infra Shampoo, rinse, and apply CHI Color Lock Treatment for 5 minutes and rinse.

Formula One: 2 oz. CHI Shine Shades Liquid Color 6G + 2 oz. 10 Volume CHI Color Generator.

Sectioning: Create a deep zig-zag parting in the crown and secure with a clip.

 

Step One: Start by applying Formula One to the root area of the lower section then taking the color down to begin a color melting technique.

Step Two: Apply Formula Two to the lower half of the hair strand making sure to melt Formula One and Two together. Continue until the entire lower section is complete.

Artist Tip- Place hair in foil to help the process and to protect the color from drying out.

Step Three: Release the top section and apply Formula Three from roots to ends.

Step Four: Process at room temperature for 30 minutes. Rinse hair thoroughly, shampoo with CHI Infra Shampoo, rinse and apply CHI Color Lock Treatment for 5 minutes and rinse.

Get the Look:

Sectioning: Create 6 triangle sections- one in the front fringe area, one on each side or fringe section, triangle crown section and two on either side, leaving out nape area.

 

Step One: Starting in the nape using a razor cut to desired length to create your guide line for the cut.

Step Two: Taking diagonal forward subsections, over direct back and razor cut to guide. Repeat on both back triangle sections.

Step Three: Release triangle crown section, bring out to a 45 degree angle and cut to guide over directing towards the back of the head.

Step Four: Release your side section, over direct back at a 45 degree angle and cut to guide to maintain length in the front and movement throughout. Repeat on opposite side.

Step Five: Release the final top section. Direct hair straight up and then back towards the crown and razor cut.

Step Six: Comb hair forward and razor cut face framing layers.

Step Seven: To create added texture, take small sections with firm tension and gently run your razor on top of the section to remove bulk and add texture.

Get the Look:

Step One: Shampoo hair with the CHI Enviro Purity Shampoo with a pH of six to help gently open the cuticle.

Artist Tip: Make sure the hair is not too wet. Blow dry to remove excess water.

Step Two: Section hair into four sections.

Step Three: Start in the nape area taking small sections.

Step Four: Apply the CHI Enviro Smoothing Treatment Virgin and Resistant Hair 1/8th of an inch from the scalp using a tint brush. Pull through to the ends.

Step Five: Use a large tooth comb to help distribute the product evenly after application.

Step Six: Apply same technique on the entire head. Use your professional judgement, and follow the manufacturer’s suggested timing.

Step Seven: Using a round or paddle brush, dry the hair. Smaller sections produce a more desirable outcome.

Step Eight: Section hair into four large sections.

Step Nine: Starting in the nape area, take small sections using the CHI Lava 1” Hairstyling Iron. Settings are best between 180 – 220 degrees Celsius.

Artist Tip: Lower temperatures work best. Just take smaller sections for best results.

Step Ten: To maintain your client's new look, have them use the CHI Enviro American Smoothing Home Care Kit. Do not shampoo prior to 24 hours.
