Stardust Collection – Galaxy Inspiration

GALAXY COLOR

STEP 1 -

Start with a zig zag parting down the center of the head.

STEP 2 -

Create diagonal forward sub-sections, parallel to the zig zag. Then take thin slices away from the hairline and apply a foil.

STEP 3 -

Position the color brush vertical to the part. Apply Formula 1 - 2 inches away from the scalp, creating a V-shape. Cover the top with another foil.

STEP 4 -

For the next section, take 1 inch slices and leave the hair strand its natural color.

STEP 5 -

Repeat steps 3 and 4, working backward to the crown area.

STEP 6 -

Leave the fringe section out on the right of the zig zag parting. Repeat steps 3 and 4 throughout the right side, until you have reached the crown.

GALAXY COLOR 2

STEP 1 -

Use Formula 1 on the root area.

STEP 2 -

Create diagonal backwards partings throughout the entire head. On each sub-section alternate the colors using Formula 1, 2, and 3.

STEP 3 -

Use formula 4 above and below the perinatal ridge on each side.

GALAXY CUT

STEP 1 -

Part the hair down the middle, from the fringe to the crown. Secure each side with a hairclip.

STEP 2 -

Then create an inverted triangle at the crown directly above the occipital bone. Secure the nape area.

STEP 3 -

Create a diagonal forward parting at the fringe and overdirect the hair to the opposite side. Hold the hair horizontally and use the point of your fingers to determine the length on the chin. Then razor cut from shortest to longest creating a stationary guide.

STEP 4 -

Continue this technique throughout the left side fringe stopping at the corner of the eyebrow. Then use your guide to repeat the same technique from Step 3 and 4 on the right side fringe.

STEP 5 -

Comb the hair to the stationary guideline take diagonal forward partings and razor cut the hair from shortest to longest.

STEP 6 -

Mirror step 5 throughout the remaining sections on both side.

STEP 7 -

Connect a small sub-section from the fringe to half of the crown section. Over direct the hair forward, at a 45 degree angle, loosen the tension and point cut the head as a guideline. This will increase length and soft the ends.

STEP 8 -

Mirror step 7 on the opposite side of the crown. Once completed pinup the section with a hairclip.

STEP 9 -

Take a horizontal parting at the nape. Razor cut the hair using the arcing technique for an underlayer graduation cut. This will create soft ends.

STEP 10 -

Comb the nape and sides down. Hold the hair perpendicular to its base parting and razor cut. Repeat this step on the opposite side and style as desired.

STEP 1 -

Apply a small amount of CHI Silk Infusion throughout the hair before and after blow drying.

STEP 2 -

Create large sections starting at the fringe. Use the CHI Lava Iron to smooth and straighten the hair, creating ultimate frizz control.

STEP 3 -

Repeat step 2 on the opposite side and style as desired.
